About Astley Baker Davies

Astley Baker Davies Ltd is the London based animation
studio of directors, Neville Astley and Mark Baker and producer, Phil Davies.
Mark Baker and Neville Astley have been collaborating since
1994, on commercials, title sequences and short films, including Jolly Roger and the BBC
television series The Big
Knights (Award for Best Television Series, Annecy 2001).
Mark Baker’s short films, The Hill Farm, The Village and Jolly Roger have all been
Oscar® nominated and have won major awards around the world, including a BAFTA®
award and the Annecy Grand Prix (for The Hill Farm).
Neville Astley enjoys a similar standing in the world
of commercials, having been responsible for Smarties, Budweiser and Nike ads
among others. His short film Trainspotter, co-directed
with Jeff Newitt, was nominated for a
BAFTA® and won the Edinburgh Festival’s McLaren Award.
Phil Davies recent producer credits include, Six of
One (BAFTA® Nominated in 2001), Donkey Town, Emma 18 and Home.
